EXCELLENT PRODUCT. Must-have for the Asus Transformer
I guess the Asus Transformer technically isn’t a “Transformer” without this, but the two can be bought separately – as we did. At first I wasn’t gonna buy the keyboard but decided to since I sold my Netbook to “make room” for my new tablet.
I am really glad I bought the keyboard dock. THe quality is excellent. battery life is great. The ports have come in handy many times already, esp when viewing pics from a camera or transferring files to/from USB.
Now I have a keyboard to take into business meetings etc and to use when I need to type. The touchscreen keyboard works in a pinch and for little tasks like web searches, but for typing notes etc. in a meeting I found it clumsy and aggravating. I really have the best of both worlds.
Love that I can use the shortcut keys to do things, or use touchscreen. I can use the GREAT mousepad (haven’t figured out how to change cursors yet though) or shut it off with a click of a button. FYI, the mousepad is NOT “inverted” as earlier reports claim. It if ever was, it is fixed now and works just as one would expect.
So now I have a tablet and a touchscreen netbook all-in-one. EVERYONE (well, except the Mac fans!) who sees this setup is impressed. The usual response is, “I’m getting one tomorrow!”. iPad (2) fans will never like it. It’s not Apple. I think the iPad could be a pine board with a piece of glass glued on top and the Mac-natics would still probably prefer that over anything.
Hopefully I don’t get a bunch of Mac fans taking it personally and slamming my review. I know a few of them and they do get hostile and defensive if you malign Apple – or claim something else is even equal. -Review from John W.
Sleek
I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend to accompany his Eee Pad. I think it makes the device look very sleek and more like a netbook, hence the name, transformer. It’s added battery life is also helpful for extreme rounds of Angry Birds or Netflix-athons. But if you have spaghetti arms–watch out–this may add an extra pound or two to your carry on bag. -Review from New Place, New Stuff
